A bit about the role:

Reporting to the Software Development Manager this four-month project-based role will help shape the user experience and interface for WBP’s new mobile valuation application. You will work closely with valuers, project stakeholders, business analysts, developers and testers to turn complex field-based workflows into a clear, intuitive and efficient mobile experience.

  • Lead practical user research and discovery with Property Valuers and other stakeholders through interviews, workshops, observation and usability testing.

  • Translate user needs, current workflows and business requirements into user journeys, information architecture, task flows and interaction patterns.

  • Create low and high-fidelity wireframes, screen flows, interactive prototypes and polished interface designs for supported iOS devices.

  • Build and maintain reusable components, patterns and documentation within the project design system, aligned with WBP brand requirements.

  • Plan usability testing, incorporate user and stakeholder feedback, and refine designs.

Collaborate closely with developers and testers, provide clear design specifications and clarification that improve development efficiency through scalable design components.

What you’ll get from us:

  • The opportunity to shape a strategically important mobile application from discovery through to development handover.

  • Direct access to end users and key stakeholders, enabling practical, evidence-led design decisions.

  • A collaborative and supportive project team that values curiosity, constructive challenge and user-centred thinking.

  • A four month project-based engagement with flexible hybrid working arrangements

  • The opportunity to establish reusable design standards that will support future application enhancements.

A bit about you:

  • You have demonstrated experience delivering UI/UX design for mobile applications from discovery through to development handover.

  • Your portfolio shows strong user-centred problem solving, mobile workflows, wireframes, prototypes and finished interface design.

  • You are proficient in Figma, or a comparable collaborative design and prototyping platform, and understand reusable design systems.

  • You can simplify complex workflows and information into intuitive, efficient experiences for field-based users.

  • You are confident conducting user research, facilitating workshops and usability testing, and translating findings into practical improvements that genuinely improve usability.

  • You understand interaction design, information architecture, responsive design, iOS conventions, accessibility and inclusive design principles.

  • You communicate clearly, collaborate well in Agile delivery teams and are comfortable seeking feedback and iterating quickly.

In a nutshell, you are a pragmatic, delivery-focused UI/UX Designer who combines strong research and interaction-design capability with polished visual design. You enjoy working closely with users and technical teams, can balance user needs with business and delivery constraints, and take pride in creating experiences that are useful, accessible and ready to build.
