Job summary

Tassal is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our prawn processing teams at our Proserpine and Mission Beach facilities. This role provides significant autonomy to drive safe, efficient operations and to build a high-performing team culture.

You will oversee day-to-day site performance across safety, quality, production and people outcomes, champion continuous improvement and contribute to workforce capability development. A pathway to broader operational management is available.

Qualifications

• 3+ years management experience in FMCG manufacturing or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality and production performance drivers.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop teams.
• Continuous improvement mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and results-focused.
• Forklift licence (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop processing operators and team leaders to achieve production targets.
• Oversee two production sites, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
• Coach and train team members to build capability and high performance.
• Troubleshoot issues and maintain efficient workflow.
