Job summary

Carey Baptist Grammar School is seeking a Grounds & Turf Wicket Officer to deliver maintenance across turf wickets, grounds, gardens and play areas. The role reports to the Grounds Supervisor – Bulleen and supports multiple campuses as required.

Based primarily at the Bulleen campus, this full-time, permanent position suits someone who enjoys hands-on outdoor work and collaborative teamwork in a school setting. A valid Working With Children Check is required.

Qualifications

• Qualification (or working towards) in Turf Management or Horticulture.
• Experience with turf wicket maintenance and sports field programs preferred.
• Ability to operate grounds machinery safely in outdoor environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and maintenance of turf wickets and grounds.
• Maintain grassed areas, gardens, and playground spaces.
• Support setup of school sporting activities and events.
• Assist with machinery, building and general maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with staff and external stakeholders, undertaking other duties as required.
