Job summary

City of Boroondara is hiring two Turf Maintenance Officers to join the Open Space and Trees team. Based at the Freeway Golf Course Depot, the roles service our 54 municipal sportsgrounds, keeping playing surfaces high quality and well presented.

You'll perform mowing, turf renovations, auditing and irrigation works, operate turf maintenance equipment, and address turf and asset maintenance issues under the Team Leader Sportsgrounds.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Sports Turf Management.
• Experience in turf maintenance and operating turf equipment.

Responsibilities

• Undertake sportsground maintenance, mowing, turf renovations, auditing and irrigation works.
• Operate specialised turf maintenance equipment and machinery.
• Identify and address turf, irrigation and asset maintenance issues.
• Assist in maintaining safe, high‑quality sporting surfaces across Council's 54 sportsgrounds.
