Job summary

Compas is seeking an experienced System Engineer (Linux, Automation & Infrastructure) to support the full system development lifecycle in a secure, high‑assurance environment in Canberra. The role is onsite in ACT under a 12-month contract with extension options, requiring TSPV/TSPA clearance and Australian citizenship.

You will install, maintain, and decommission hardware and software across complex environments and contribute to design, integration, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Extensive Linux administration and system hardening experience.
• Strong background in configuration management and automation.
• Experience with installation, integration, testing and troubleshooting.
• Ability to contribute to secure infrastructure design in complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support across the system development lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and support.
• Install, configure, maintain, and decommission hardware and software across complex infrastructure environments.

Location: ACT - Onsite
Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options
Security Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current TSPV/TSPA clearance.
