Job summary

Compas PTY is seeking a senior Enterprise Solution Architect to shape a future-state technology strategy, simplify complex landscapes, reduce technical debt and provide strategic guidance across multiple initiatives.

This onsite Canberra role is a 12‑month contract with two 12‑month extension options. Applicants must hold a current TSPV/TSPA clearance, be Australian citizens, and visa sponsorship for overseas applicants is not available.

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in system or platform technical design, software development or system administration.
• Strong capability across Solution Architecture, Systems Design and Requirements Management at SFIA Level 5.
• Ability to analyse business and technical requirements and provide strategic architecture guidance.
• Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead solution architecture outcomes to support secure, integrated and strategically aligned technology delivery.
• Drive technology rationalisation by reducing technical debt, duplication and architectural complexity.
• Develop and maintain reference architectures, standards, blueprints and other key architecture artefacts.
• Identify architectural risks, dependencies and emerging technology opportunities while supporting stakeholder collaboration.

Location: Canberra – Onsite

Contract Duration: Initial 12-month contract, with 2 x 12-month extension options

Security Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current TSPV/TSPA clearance.

Essential Tasks:
