Job summary

Indigitise Pty Ltd in Canberra is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to implement, manage and retire the infrastructure that supports our digital services. The role covers physical, virtual, networking and cloud components in a dynamic environment.

You will lead infrastructure and platform design, support operations, install and configure systems, perform tests, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reliable capability development.

Qualifications

• Proficient Linux administration and system hardening.
• Experience with configuration management and automation.
• Familiarity with testing, validation and deployment processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services across the full system development lifecycle.
• Install, configure, maintain and de-install hardware and software; run tests and fix issues.
• Design, code, test, and document moderately complex programs and scripts.
• Define integration builds and generate build definitions for software release.
• Resolve issues during capability development and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Lead infrastructure and platform design, implementation and ongoing support.

Requirements

Key duties and responsibilities

• Provide engineering services to all aspects of the system development lifecycle.


• Installs or removes hardware and/or software. Conducts tests and corrects malfunctions.


• Designs, codes, tests, corrects and documents moderately complex programs and scripts.


• Defines the integration build and produces a build definition for generation of the software.


• Resolve issues and/or problems that arise during the course of capability development.


• Engage with relevant stakeholders when required.


• Lead infrastructure and platform design, implementation and support.

Technical skills

• Experience with installation, configuration, maintenance and de-installation of systems.


• Demonstrated experience in Linux administration and system hardening.


• Demonstrated experience in configuration management and automation.
