Truck Driver - Night Shift

Job summary

Morcofresh is seeking a reliable truck driver to join our national fresh produce delivery team. You will transport goods to customers and internal sites, follow routes, and ensure timely deliveries during a 7 pm to 3 am roster. Strong safety and customer service focus is essential to maintain our high service standards.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, verifying orders, and maintaining compliance with CoR and regulations. Prior experience with GPS/Electronic AVL units is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid license to operate a vehicle 4.5 to 13.9 Tonnes GVM and up to 15 Tonnes 2 Axles.
• MR/HR license.
• Prior work experience as a truck driver.
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CV, etc).
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as company policies.
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security.
• Adherence to Chain of Responsibility (CoR) legislation.
• Ability to work Sunday to Friday (4-5 Day roster) 7 pm to 3 am.

• Loading, transporting, and delivering items to customers and/or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
• Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure orders are complete and the customer is satisfied.
• Ensure items are complete and packed correctly.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Perform frequent unloading, lifting and carrying of goods (up to 15kg boxes, up to 20kg onion bag).
• Provide excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from customers.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Maintain records required for compliance with state and federal regulations.

About the role

The purpose of this position is to deliver goods internally and to customers externally in a safe and timely manner. The driver will be responsible for picking up and dropping off items, loading and unloading items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules.

About you

• No recent moving or non-moving violations


• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures

• Adherence to all other Laws & Legislation


• Ability to work Sunday to Friday (4-5 Day roster) 7 pm to 3 am
