Job summary

Hayters Timber and Paving is seeking a reliable Yardman / Delivery Driver for a hands-on role at our Sydney yard. You will work with pavers, timber and landscaping supplies, serving tradies, builders and DIY customers.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, order picking, driving MR trucks, operating forklifts, maintaining yard safety and assisting customers with purchases. Ability to work in heat and cold is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid MR truck licence.
• Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
• Reliable, punctual and physically fit for outdoor work.
• Capable of heavy lifting and manual handling in yard tasks.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload customer vehicles.
• Pick and prepare orders for dispatch.
• Unloading deliveries (hand load where required).
• Drive MR delivery truck as needed.
• Operate forklifts around the yard.
• Keep the yard tidy, safe and organised.
• Assist customers with purchases in-store.

Hayters Timber and Paving is looking for a reliable, hard-working Yardman / Delivery Driver to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you will be working with Pavers, timber, landscaping supplies, serving tradies, builders, landscapers and DIY customers.

Key responsibilities

• Loading and unloading customer vehicles
• Picking and preparing orders
• Unloading all deliveries (sometimes by hand)
• Driving delivery truck MR
• Operating forklifts around the yard
• Keeping the yard organised, clean and safe
• Helping customers with their purchases
• General yard and hardware duties

About you

• Reliable, punctual and physically fit
• Comfortable working outside in the heat and cold
• Capable of heavy lifting and hand unloading deliveries
• Good attitude and works well with the team
• Can work independently and get the job done
• Takes pride in their work
• Current Truck driver's licence MR
• Forklift licence preferred
• Hardware, building, landscaping or delivery experience is an advantage
