Pendergast Northwest Freight Services is seeking an experienced Truck Driver MC to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. This is a full-time position that involves operating heavy and medium commercial vehicles to transport freight across the region. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers.

What you'll be doing

• Operate (MC class) to transport various types of freight
• Conduct comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
• Plan and undertake delivery routes in the most efficient manner while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Liaise with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status and address any issues that may arise
• Maintain detailed trip records and documentation as required
• Assist with the loading and unloading of freight as needed
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of our transportation and logistics operations

What we're looking for

• Hold a valid Multi-Combination (MC) driver's licence
• Minimum 2 years' experience operating heavy or medium commercial vehicles
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety regulations, and best practices for the transportation of freight
• Excellent time management and problem-solving skills to navigate changing conditions and meet delivery deadlines
• Physical fitness and the ability to assist with the loading and unloading of goods
• A commitment to safety, reliability, and customer service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders
