Job summary

Direct Freight Express is seeking an experienced MC Local Driver to join our Sydney team (Warwick Farm) on an afternoon shift. This full-time local role focuses on safe loading, accurate deliveries, and excellent customer service across Sydney and metropolitan areas.

You will hold an MC Manual Licence with 1–2 years of local driving experience, a solid knowledge of local roads, and a commitment to safety and reliability. Forklift licence is a bonus; Australian working rights are required.

Qualifications

• MC Manual Licence is essential and you must meet Australian work rights.
• Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• 1–2 years local MC driving experience is required.
• Solid knowledge of Sydney/metropolitan roads is essential.
• No more than 6 demerit points on your licence.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver within Sydney and locally between depots and sites.
• Hooking, unhooking and reversing semi-trailers safely.
• Transporting trailers between depots, customer sites and yards.
• Complete local bulk/pallet pickups and deliveries across Sydney.
• Load and unload freight when required and maintain clear documentation.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report defects.
• Provide excellent customer service and ensure deliveries are safe and efficient.
• Comply with CoR, fatigue management and transport legislation.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated MC Local Driver to join our Sydney (Warwick Farm) team as soon as possible.

Role: MC Local Driver
Location: Sydney (Warwick Farm)
Hours: (Afternoon Shift )

Monday-Friday: 11am -7:20pm

Key Responsibilities

As an MC Local Driver, your duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Pick up and delivery as well as work within the depot and yard tug duty
• Hooking, unhooking and reversing semi-trailers/trailers safely.
• Transporting trailers between depots, customer sites, yards and bulk areas.
• Completing local bulk/pallet pick-ups and deliveries across the Sydney and metropolitan area.
• Loading and unloading freight where required.
• Conducting daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects.
• Maintaining accurate freight and delivery documentation.
• Providing excellent customer service while ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently.
• Complying with all Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and road transport legislation.

About You

• Current MC Manual Licence.
• Forklift Licence (preferred but not essential).
• Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a similar local MC driving role.
• Good knowledge of Sydney/ metropolitan roads and surrounding areas.
• No more than 6 demerit points on your driver's licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including a Drug & Alcohol test.
• Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) accreditation is desirable but not essential.
• Ability to provide at least two recent employment references.
• Full Australian working rights.
• A strong commitment to safety, reliability and excellent work ethic.
