Job summary

Lachlan Shire Council is offering a full-time position for a Truck Driver Level 2 – Semi Trailer based at our Condobolin Depot. The successful candidate will operate and maintain the prime mover to transport equipment around the shire, as well as perform general labouring duties.

A Heavy Combination Licence and knowledge of truck maintenance are essential. The position includes a salary range of $2,315 to $2,488 per fortnight and opportunities for professional development.

Job description

Lachlan Shire Council has an opportunity for a Truck Driver Level 2 – Semi Trailer to work from our Condobolin Depot. This full‑time position is responsible for the operation and maintenance of Council's prime mover with low loader (float) or semi trailer to transport plant and equipment around the shire.

You will also undertake other duties including general labouring and minor plant operation as required.

To be successful you will need:

• Heavy Combination (HC) Licence
• Construction Induction Certificate
• Experience & knowledge of truck maintenance
• Great communication skills
• The ability to work well in a team & individually

Benefits for you:

• The salary range is $2,315 to $2,488 per fortnight
• Starting salary to be determined upon the qualifications and experience of successful applicant.
• Grade 5 within Council's Salary Structure
• Working 76 hours per fortnight with a rostered day off (9 Day fortnight)

• Employer superannuation of 12%
