Job summary

UnitingCare Community is seeking a dedicated team member to support Lifeline Queensland with donation pickups and stock deliveries. The role involves driving, lifting and assisting with stock management in a Not‑for‑Profit setting.

You will work Monday to Friday from 7am, require an MR licence, and contribute to a safety‑driven, collaborative team that serves the Lifeline mission and vulnerable communities.

Qualifications

• Inherent role requirements include physical tasks such as lifting, standing and walking.
• Minimum MR licence is required.
• Availability Monday to Friday from 7am.
• Ability to work collaboratively to achieve team goals and deadlines.
• Commitment to safe work practices for procedures and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Pick-up donations from in and around clothing donation bins, Lifeline shops and premises.
• Deliver stock to Lifeline shops and private/commercial premises.
• Deliver rags to customers; may involve money handling.
• Unload vehicles and keep the area clean and tidy.
• Maintain accurate daily paperwork for the role.
• Keep vehicles clean and roadworthy; report safety issues.
• Supervise safety and work of Offsiders in the truck.
• Meet operational timeframes while adhering to Queensland road rules.

Remuneration:

$38.55 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (please note $3.76 of this rate is a temporary allowance that has been in place for many years)

Your part in our Lifeline team

• Pick-up donations from in and around clothing donation bins, private and commercial premises and Lifeline shops
• Deliver stock to Lifeline shops, private and commercial premises
• Deliver rags to customers which may include money handling
• Unload vehicles and ensure the area is kept clean and tidy
• Ensure all paperwork for the position is recorded accurately and on a daily basis
• Maintain vehicles in a clean and roadworthy condition and report any security, maintenance or safety issues to relevant supervisor
• Supervise the safety and work performance of Offsiders in the truck
• Ensure operational timeframes are met whilst adhereing to Queensland traffic road rules

Important:

The inherent requirements of this role are physically demanding you will need to be physically fit with the capability to complete tasks that require regular lifting, standing and walking.
