Job summary

UnitingCare Lifeline Queensland is seeking a Warehouse Assistant at our Molendinar Distribution Centre. You will operate baling machinery, move crates, assist with loading and unloading trucks, and keep work areas clean to support export production and stock availability for our charity stores.

The role is physically demanding, requires fitness to lift and stand for long periods, with availability Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence preferred.
• Prior experience in a warehouse environment is desirable.
• Must be physically fit and able to lift, stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate baling machine to support export production.
• Move crates/items to maintain continuous production
• Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and containers
• Pack items to operational standards for dispatch
• Maintain clean and orderly workstations and storage areas
• Ensure equipment is maintained and report safety issues
• Record daily paperwork related to your role

Remuneration: $35.40 p/hr + Super + NFP Salary Packaging (save tax and increase your take home pay)

Your part in our Lifeline team

Working out of our Molendinar Distribution Centre, you will:

• Operate baling machine to support export production and facilitate the storage of goods
• Manually move crates/items to ensure that the process line has a continual supply of stock for production
• Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and containers
• Pack rags to operational standards in preparation for dispatch
• Maintain work stations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner
• Ensure equipment is maintained in a fully operational condition and report any maintenance or safety issues to relevant supervisor
• Ensure all paperwork relative to your role is recorded accurately and on a daily basis

Important:

The inherent requirements of this role are physically demanding you will need to be physically fit with the capability to complete tasks that require regular lifting, standing and walking.
