Job summary

Sustainable Soils & Aggregates is seeking an experienced Truck & Dog Driver to join our transport team in Sydney. The role involves operating a Truck & Dog combination, transporting soils, aggregates and quarry materials to construction sites, quarries and recycling facilities across greater Sydney.

You will perform daily pre-starts, maintain dockets and job records, comply with NHVR safety requirements and work with allocators and site personnel.

Qualifications

• Current HC licence held with clean driving record.
• Construction White Card completed and valid.
• Understanding of fatigue management and NHVR rules.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a Truck & Dog combination.
• Deliver and collect soils, aggregates, and quarry materials.
• Complete daily pre-start checks and maintain dockets.
• Keep accurate job records and comply with NHVR safety requirements.
• Communicate with allocators, supervisors and site personnel.
• Maintain a clean, well-presented vehicle.

SSA provides transport and material solutions to the civil construction industry across Sydney. We're looking for a reliable and professional driver who takes pride in their work, equipment, and safety.

About the Role

The role involves operating a Truck & Dog combination, transporting soils, aggregates and quarry materials to and from construction sites, quarries, and recycling facilities across Sydney.

Key responsibilities include:

• Safely and efficiently operating a Truck & Dog combination
• Delivering and collecting soils, aggregates and quarry materials
• Completing daily pre-starts and vehicle checks
• Maintaining accurate dockets and job records
• Complying with company, site and NHVR safety requirements
• Communicating with allocators, supervisors and site personnel
• Maintaining a clean and well-presented vehicle

About You

• Current HC licence
• Construction White Card
• Good knowledge of Sydney roads and construction sites
• Understanding of fatigue management and NHVR requirements
• Good driving record
• Reliable and professional attitude
• Ability to work early starts and overtime when required
• Experience within quarry or bulk haulage will be highly regarded.
