Job summary

HiQ Group is seeking skilled Truck and Dog drivers to join our team. You will operate a Truck & Dog combination to deliver bulk materials on local and regional hauls, with an emphasis on safety, compliance and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate must have tipping experience and a current HC license, be willing to stay in the truck for regional or interstate jobs, and pass a pre-employment medical with drug/alcohol testing. A white card and clean driving record are required.

Qualifications

• Experience driving Truck and Dog combinations with tipping experience (essential).
• Hold a current HC license with tipping experience (essential).
• Pass a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test.
• Have a construction white card for site access.
• Maintain a clean driving record and provide a copy.
• Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) trained preferred.
• Be computer literate and comfortable using tablets and electronic logs.
• Demonstrate clear communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Completing prestart checks and other operational paperwork.
• Complying with fatigue management and road rules and NHVR guidelines.
• Delivering loads to internal and external customers in a timely, professional manner.
• Operate a Truck & Dog combination and manage regional and interstate hauls.

About the Role:

We’re currently looking for skilled and motivated Truck and Dog Driversto join our team.

You’ll operate a Truck & Dog combination vehicle to deliver bulk materials working on a variety of local and regional hauls. This role requires strong compliance, flexibility with changing schedules, and a customer-first mindset. You’ll be supported by a professional and safety-focused team and operate a well-maintained fleet.

Main Responsibilities:

• Completing prestart and other operational checklists and administrative paperwork
• Complying with fatigue management and road rules and regulations
• Complying with mass management as per NHVR guidelines
• Delivering loads to customers both internal and external in a professional and timely manner

Tipping experience is essential. If you don't have tipping experience driving Truck and Dogs, please do not apply.

The successful candidate will:

• Have a current HC License with proven Truck and Dog tipping experience (essential)
• Be confident operating Road Ranger gearboxes and automatic
• Willing to stay in the truck overnight for regional and interstate jobs
• Able to pass a company driver competency test
• Have a construction industry white card
• A clean driving record and be able to provide a copy.
• Be Basic Fatigue Management (BFM) trained (preferred)
• Be computer literate – confident with Samsung tablet, truck scales & electronic work diary
• Have clear communication and work as part of a team.
• Able to complete a pre-employment medical (including drug, alcohol & fitness to Drive)
• Take pride in their truck – keeps the cab clean and tidy
