Job summary

Cornerstone Health Penrith is seeking a Treatment Room Team Leader (Registered Nurse) to coordinate the onsite nursing team and support GPs across the Penrith clinic. This mat-leave cover role focuses on delivering high-quality treatment room operations and patient care in a busy primary care setting.

You will lead a capable nursing team, oversee immunisations, wound care, ECGs, and other procedures, while ensuring safe, compliant clinical practice.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Experience in a medical centre treatment room preferred.
• Commitment to high-quality patient care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong customer service and patient engagement skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands.
• Proficient computer skills (Best Practice and MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support to GPs, including immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry, and other procedures.
• Assist with clinical procedures and patient care
• Conduct patient triage and prioritise care effectively
• Lead and coordinate the nursing team within the treatment room
• Support rostering in collaboration with the Practice Manager
• Manage stock control of consumables and medical supplies
• Ensure high standards of sterilisation and infection control
• Support onboarding, training, and development of new nursing staff
• Contribute to a safe, compliant, and high-quality clinical environment
