Job summary

Sonic HealthPlus’ Travel Doctor division in Canberra is seeking a motivated Clinic Administration Officer for a full-time fixed-term 6-month contract. You will support day-to-day clinic operations, coordinate appointments and provide a welcoming patient experience in a busy healthcare setting.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will manage bookings, patient enquiries, records, and payments, with training provided.

Qualifications

• Strong administration skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, friendly reception for patients and visitors.
• Manage appointment bookings, patient inquiries and clinic correspondence.
• Coordinate travel health consultations and vaccination appointments.
• Administer health questionnaires and maintain accurate documentation.
• Handle records, reports and confidential medical information in compliance with privacy.
• Complete data entry and maintain patient records.
• Process payments and invoices; support general admin tasks.
• Assist Practice Manager and clinic team with day-to-day operations.
• Ensure a positive patient experience through exceptional service and communication.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and admin staff to support efficient operations.
