Job summary

Group is seeking a Therapeutic Youth Worker to support children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect or challenging life circumstances. You will help them develop emotional regulation, life skills and positive relationships in safe, nurturing environments.

The role involves active support such as meal prep and transportation, health support, behaviour management and safeguarding, with rotating rosters including weekends.

Qualifications

• Motivation to work with young people.
• Willingness to work rotating rosters including weekends and overnights.
• Current paid Working with Children Check (WWC).
• National police check.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Active support: meal prep, dressing, transportation, social outings, plan for and achieve daily goals.
• Health support: administer and document medication and follow health support plans.
• Positive behaviour support: manage behaviours, triggers and escalations.
• Safeguarding: ensure safety of the young person, documentation and reports.
