Job summary

Lifestyle Solutions on the Gold Coast seeks a Therapeutic Youth Worker to support children and young people who have experienced trauma or challenging life circumstances. You will create safe, nurturing environments and help them develop emotional regulation, life skills and positive relationships.

The role covers active support, health tasks, behavior management and safeguarding with a focus on consistent, client-centered care. Training and career development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated motivation to work with young people.
• Available to work rotating rosters including weekends and overnights.
• Current paid working with children check.
• National police check.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Active support: meal prep, dressing, transportation, social outings, plan for and achieve daily goals.
• Health support: administer and document medication and follow health support plans.
• Positive behaviour support: manage behaviours, triggers and escalations.
• Safeguarding: ensure safety of you and the young person, documentation and reports.
