Victims, Redress and System Reform (VRSR) within the Department of Justice and Community Safety invites applications for a Victim Engagement Officer. Join a fixed-term team delivering services to children’s court matters across metropolitan Melbourne, with a base in Melbourne CBD and travel across courts.

You will provide trauma-informed support, help access services, and collaborate with police, court staff and youth justice services.

Formación

• Two years’ experience delivering services or supervising others.
• Knowledge of youth justice and the Children’s Court.
• Ability to travel across metropolitan Melbourne and CBD.

Responsabilidades

• Provide sensitive support in person and by phone.
• Offer culturally safe care that respects background and needs.
• Help victims access support services and understand restorative justice.
• Build strong working relationships with court staff, police and youth justice services.
• Keep accurate records, follow relevant laws and share advice to improve victim support.
