Job summary

Berry Street Take Two program in Morwell seeks a Therapeutic Specialist to assess and guide care for children and young people living inBerry Street Yooralla's Residential Care homes. You will coach staff, provide informal therapeutic conversations, and support trauma-informed practices on-site.

The role focuses on reflective practice, reports with recommendations, and building therapeutic parenting knowledge within the residential teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Health or Welfare field is required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical work with children and families.
• Ability to provide high standard of direct service in assessment and treatment.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of young people and family history; identify mental health challenges and trauma impacts.
• Write comprehensive reports and translate findings into practice guidance for care staff.
• Collaborate with care teams to achieve goals within set timeframes.
• Support Residential Care teams to implement the therapeutic model.
