Telstra Health in Australia invites expressions of interest for a 12-month contract as a Support Line Specialist within the Leaving Violence Program. You will provide trauma-informed guidance, mentoring, and operational support to practitioners responding to individuals impacted by family, domestic, and sexual violence.

You will be the point of real-time support for frontline practitioners, offering expert advice on risk assessment, safety planning, and service responses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, or related field.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling/Psychotherapy.
  • Membership/accreditation with ACA, AASW, PACFA, AHPRA, or ACWA.
  • Working with Children Clearance.
  • National Police Check.
  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Overseas qualifications verified by PBR if obtained abroad.

Responsibilities

  • Provide trauma-informed guidance and mentoring to practitioners.
  • Support real-time risk assessment, safety planning, and referral pathways.
  • Review and approve financial support packages and escalated cases.
  • Support practitioners in high-risk cases and mandatory reporting obligations.
