This permanent role offers flexible hybrid hours, 12% superannuation, leave loading, and access to staff wellbeing programs. The successful candidate will share lived experience, meet vaccination and working rights requirements,

Qualifications

• Certificate IV Peer Work or other Australian recognised Health related qualification.
• Lived Experience Expertise of a suicidal crisis.
• NSW Working with children clearance.
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
• Current Australian working rights.
• Compliance with Vaccination category A.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-oriented and trauma-informed peer support for people who present to the service.
• Provide psychosocial support, safety planning and recovery/wellness planning.
• Deliver individual or group peer support, advocacy and follow up support to access other services.
• Work in a manner that aligns with step up/step down care and make referrals to community services when required.
• Liaise with, and possibly work from emergency departments to link people to the service and raise awareness among ED staff.
• After hours and weekend work will be a requirement of the role.
