Job summary

Qualifications

• Lived experience of suicidal crisis and ability to share experiences appropriately.
• Cert IV Peer Work or other health related qualification.
• Current NSW Working with Children clearance or willingness to obtain.
• Current driver’s license and willingness to travel as required.
• Compliance with Vaccination category A.

Responsibilities

• Provide recovery-oriented peer support for people accessing Safe Spaces.
• Deliver psychosocial support, safety and recovery planning.
• Offer individual or group peer support and follow up to access services.
• Coordinate referrals to community-based supports (step down) when needed.
• Liaise with emergency departments to connect people to the service.
• Work after hours and weekends as required.
