Job summary

Mallee Family Care Community Legal Centre is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a multidisciplinary team focused on access to justice, social justice and supporting vulnerable individuals and families.

The role involves holistic assessment, advocacy, referral, and collaboration with legal and health services across Victoria's Northern and Southern Mallee regions. A degree-level Social Work qualification and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Accredited qualification in Social Work at degree level or above.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel.
• Prepared to be accommodated overnight when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic, client-centred support to individuals and families.
• Conduct assessment, advocacy, referral, and case coordination.
• Collaborate with solicitors, financial counsellors, mental health professionals and services.
• Contribute to community development, education and service collaboration.
• Apply trauma-informed and strengths-based practice to improve safety and access to services.
