Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking qualified psychologists or social workers to join a crisis counselling and support team at Royal North Shore Community Health Centre. The role covers children and adults affected by sexual abuse and assault, including families and non-offending members.

Two positions are available: Permanent Full Time and Temporary Full Time (until 02 February 2027, with possibility of ongoing employment).

Qualifications

• Full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist is required.
• Postgraduate qualification and eligibility for AASW are noted.
• Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed counselling is expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis psychosocial support and ongoing counselling to children and adults affected by sexual abuse or assault.
• Coordinate counselling and case management services, including facilitation of forensic/medical services as required.
• Support children under ten with problematic sexual behaviours and their families.
