Job summary

CatholicCare Wollongong seeks a Family Strengthening Practitioner to deliver high-quality casework to families facing complex challenges, with trauma-informed, culturally responsive and child-centred support provided through home visits and direct engagement.

You will collaborate with DCJ and other partners to help families access supports, manage crisis responses, and adjust plans to safeguard children while traveling across Macarthur and Wingecarribee regions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering intensive and trauma-informed casework with families.
• Understanding of child safety, mandatory reporting and family vulnerability.
• Strong engagement and relationship building skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality casework to families with complex challenges.
• Provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive and child-centred support via home visits.
• Advocate for families to access appropriate supports and collaborate with external partners.
• Respond to crises and adjust case plans to ensure child safety.
