Job summary

Cafs is recruiting for a Strengthening & Restoring Practitioner in Ballarat, VIC. The role provides intensive family support to vulnerable children, young people and families, working with Child Protection, schools and services to strengthen parental capacity and safety.

The position emphasizes trauma-informed, family-centred practice with strong assessment and case management skills, and offers part-time hours with ongoing and fixed-term arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-home family support and case management within the Best Interests Case Practice Framework.
• Undertake strengths-based assessments and develop Family Action Plans with families.
• Provide therapeutic interventions informed by attachment, trauma and child development theories.
• Support families to build parenting capacity and improve relationships and functioning.
• Collaborate with Child Protection and other stakeholders to promote child safety and wellbeing.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant case records and documentation.
• Manage a diverse caseload including complex family support interventions.
• Participate in reflective practice, service improvement and professional development.
