Job summary

Cafs in Ballarat is seeking a skilled Child Wellbeing Practitioner to join The Orange Door Central Highlands team. You will support children, young people and families through holistic assessment, early intervention, brief counselling and service coordination, with children's voices, safety and wellbeing at the center of every decision.

You will bring a Bachelor of Social Work or related discipline, strong assessment and engagement skills, and a commitment to child safety and culturally

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Social Work or related discipline.
• Experience working with families and children, ideally within the family violence or community services sector.
• Strong assessment, engagement and case management capabilities.
• Knowledge of child wellbeing, family functioning and risk assessment frameworks, including MARAM.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to child safety, inclusion and culturally responsive practice.

Responsibilities

• Holistic assessment, early intervention, brief counselling and service coordination, ensuring children's voices, safety and wellbeing remain central to all decision-making.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary service model to support families and young people.
