Job summary

A community service organization in Maroochydore seeks a Family and Relationship Services Practitioner to provide counselling and support for individuals and families. The ideal candidate will have relevant tertiary qualifications, counselling skills, and experience in trauma-informed care. Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences (and eligible membership with AASW, APS, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of DFV, Child Protection, and Family Law legislation.
• Current driver’s licence, Blue Card, and AFP check (or willingness to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Providing individual and group counselling using evidence-based, trauma-informed frameworks.
• Supporting families affected by domestic violence, separation, and child protection matters.
• Conducting intake, risk assessments, safety planning, and referrals.
• Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to deliver holistic support.
• Maintaining high-quality case notes, reports, and data for compliance.
