Job summary

Randstad, partnering with a local government client in Brisbane, seeks a Transport Planning Specialist to lead the development of an integrated transport infrastructure capital investment pipeline. You will synthesize modelling, planning studies, safety initiatives and Games-related planning to create a robust road map for growth and funding priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport infrastructure planning and policy advice.
• Proven ability to develop investment pipelines and business cases.
• Skilled in transport planning, network performance analysis and evidence-based assessment.
• Experience creating budget submissions and cost estimates.
• Familiarity with multi-criteria assessment and prioritisation methods.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation and cross-functional coordination.
• Experience producing executive-level reports and governance materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead the consolidation of transport project pipelines into a concise investment pipeline.
• Draw inputs from transport modelling, planning studies, safety initiatives, asset renewal programs, growth planning and Games-related planning
• Develop the evidence base and approach for a transport investment prioritisation framework
• Undertake stakeholder engagement and workshops to identify, assess and refine project priorities
• Integrate transport planning priorities with asset management and renewal planning considerations
• Prepare executive-level reporting, governance material and budget briefing products
• Support development of a repeatable framework that can be matured and updated in future years

Randstad has partnered with a local government client to recruit a Transport Planning Specialist who will lead the development of a robust, integrated transport infrastructure capital investment pipeline. In this role, you will draw together inputs from transport modelling, planning studies, safety initiatives, asset renewals, and Brisbane 2032 Games planning to build a evidence-based road map. This work will directly guide future budget priorities, support sustainable asset management, and ensure long-term readiness for regional growth and transport demand.
