Job summary

City of Ryde is seeking a Transport Development Engineer to shape transport outcomes across a growing community. You will assess development proposals, provide expert traffic and parking advice, and help deliver safe, efficient and connected networks.

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator Transport Development, you will review reports, models and plans, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to transport strategies, policy and infrastructure initiatives that support growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Experience assessing traffic studies, transport plans and development-related traffic impacts.
• Knowledge of Austroads and Australian Standards.
• Experience using SIDRA or similar traffic modelling software.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Traffic Engineering or Transport Planning are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist traffic and transport advice on development projects including residential, commercial and major infrastructure.
• Review technical reports, traffic studies and transport management plans and provide practical recommendations.
• Contribute to transport strategies, policies and planning initiatives.
• Support transport projects, grant funding applications and improve Council's transport assets and services.
