Job summary

City of Ryde is seeking a Transport Development Engineer to shape transport outcomes across our growing community. You will assess development proposals, review traffic studies and produce evidence-based recommendations that balance growth, safety and accessibility.

You will also contribute to transport strategies, policies and planning initiatives, review reports, and work with planners, developers and government agencies to support sustainable transport infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline recognised by Engineers Australia.
• SafeWork NSW PWZ Card.
• Experience assessing traffic studies, transport plans and development-related traffic impacts.
• Knowledge of Austroads and Australian Standards.
• Experience using traffic modelling software such as SIDRA.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist traffic and transport advice on a wide range of development projects.
• Review technical reports, traffic studies and transport management plans.
• Contribute to transport strategies, policies and planning initiatives.
• Prepare professional reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Support strategic transport projects and grant funding applications.
