Job summary

Coogee Chemicals is seeking a Transport Compliance Assistant to work with the Transport Compliance Officer, supporting our transport operations team in maintaining regulatory, safety, and operational compliance across the fleet. Ideal for those with transport administration, compliance, fleet, or logistics experience looking to grow in the transport industry.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, fleet administration or compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update transport compliance records and databases.
• Monitor driver licences, inductions, competencies, and training records.
• Assist in the management of fatigue management, mass management, and NHVR compliance requirements.
• Support the administration of vehicle registrations, inspections, maintenance schedules, and defect reporting.
• Prepare compliance reports, audits, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate onboarding documentation for drivers and subcontractors.
• Ensure accurate filing and record keeping of transport-related documentation.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Transport Compliance Assistant to work with our Transport Compliance Officer in supporting our transport operations team in maintaining compliance across our fleet and transport activities. This role plays a key part in ensuring regulatory, safety, and operational compliance requirements are met across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update transport compliance records and databases.
• Monitor driver licences, inductions, competencies, and training records.
• Assist in the management of fatigue management, mass management, and NHVR compliance requirements.

About You

• Previous experience in transport, logistics, fleet administration, or compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
• Experience with NHVR requirements, CoR legislation, or transport compliance systems will be highly regarded.
