Job summary

Coogee Chemicals Pty is seeking a commercially minded professional to join our team as Commercial Manager. The role reports to the CFO and spans across manufacturing, storage, distribution and new ventures to support growth, risk management and contract oversight.

Key responsibilities include developing financial models, evaluating business cases, negotiating complex contracts and coordinating supply agreements.

• Qualifications in Engineering, supported by commercial qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial management, contract management, business development, procurement, finance or a related commercial discipline.

About the Role

As Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in supporting commercial performance and strategic decision making across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting commercial activities across Coogee's manufacturing, storage, distribution and emerging business operations.
• Developing and evaluating financial models, business cases, pricing strategies and profitability initiatives.
• Supporting business growth opportunities, acquisitions, expansions and major capital projects.
• Leading the negotiation and management of commercial agreements, supply contracts, sales contracts and service agreements.
• Coordinating contract review, administration, renewals, pricing mechanisms and dispute resolution processes.
• Identifying and managing commercial, contractual, operational and supply chain risks.
• Ensuring commercial activities comply with relevant regulatory, governance and procurement requirements.
• Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, suppliers and external advisers.
• Working collaboratively with operational, finance, business development and executive leadership teams to support business objectives.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Qualifications in Engineering, supported by commercial qualifications.
• Demonstrated experience in commercial management, contract management, business development, procurement, finance or a related commercial discipline.
• Experience within manufacturing, industrial, chemical, mining, energy or other heavy industry environments.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, including financial modelling, investment evaluation, pricing strategy and margin analysis.
• Proven experience negotiating and managing complex commercial agreements and contracts.
• Experience supporting strategic growth initiatives, major projects and business improvement opportunities.
• Strong understanding of commercial risk management and corporate governance principles.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills.
• High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
