Job summary

Ventia is seeking a qualified Transmission Linesworker to join our expanding Energy and Renewables team in South Australia. You will perform maintenance and construction on transmission lines from 66kV to 500kV, including lifting, climbing, trenching for underground cables, and installing components.

This permanent full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and allowances. Based in Adelaide or willing to relocate, you will work safely with an emphasis on public protection and crew safety,

Qualifications

• Certificate III in ESI Transmission – Overhead or equivalent.
• SA Electrical License (interstate applicants may apply).
• High voltage or high risk certifications required.
• Nationally recognised live line stick and/or barehand transmission experience.
• Strong understanding of transmission safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and construction tasks to safely complete work.
• Work on 66kV–500kV transmission lines with proper policies.
• Lift, climb poles, trench for underground cables, or work from buckets.
• Install and repair poles, cables and electrical equipment on overhead systems.
• Ensure public and crew safety through PPE and emergency procedures.
• Operate equipment including bucket trucks and complete reports.

Benefits

• Competitive hourly wage $63.57 - $68.94 per hour plus super(based on experience)
• Living Away from Home Allowance(Approx. between $290-400 per day, depending on the location)
• Guaranteed opportunity to work a minimum of 8 working hours per day on two weekends per calendar month
• Permanent full-time employment

About The Role

• Perform maintenance and construction tasks and ensure the safe, timely and cost-effective completion of work in accordance with company and client policies and procedures
• Work on various structure types of transmission lines at voltages from 66kV to 500kV
• Lifting, climbing poles, trenching for the installation of underground cable, or working in overhead buckets
• Installing and repairing poles, cables, and electrical equipment related to overhead transmission systems
• Working to ensure public safety and electrical crew safety through personal protection equipment and by practicing emergency procedures and training
• Operating a variety of different equipment, including bucket trucks
• Completing electronic and paper reports and records

About You

• Certificate III in ESI Transmission – Overhead (or equivalent)
• SA Electrical License(willingness to apply if you are an interstate applicant)
• Additional high-voltage or high-risk certifications
• Nationally recognised and demonstrated experience in live line stick and/or barehand transmission work
• Strong understanding of transmission safety protocols
• Willingness to travel and work flexible rosters
