Are you a Registered Nurse ready to grow your skills and make a real difference in General Medicine, Palliative Care, and Coronary Care? Our Acute Care Nursing Program is a year-long, fully supported pathway with no prior acute care experience required!
The Acute Care Transitional Rotation Program is aimed at nurses who have completed a minimum one year post graduate nursing experience and who have a genuine interest in Acute Care nursing, specifically General Medicine, Coronary Care and Palliative Care. The program has been designed to assist registered nurses with their professional development during the transition phase from generalist nurse to specialist Acute Care Nurse.
The program will be conducted over a 12-month period with rotation into four (4) acute care services and will comprise both theoretical and clinical components. The rotation framework aims to provide an interactive learning experience that enables the participants to take a holistic view of patient centred care, gain specialised clinical skills, and develop an understanding of caring for the acutely unwell patient as well as developing a network of professional resources.
