Job summary

St Eugene College in Burpengary, part of Brisbane Catholic Education, is seeking a Program Leader (Transition) to drive the year 6-7 transition program and lead designated school activities aligned with our Catholic ethos.

You will supervise staff, induct new teachers, monitor student outcomes, and manage program budgets within the school’s broader leadership structure. The role is full-time and fixed-term, starting January 2027.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work within Australia for the duration of the appointment.
• Strong organisational skills to coordinate program logistics, resources, and operations.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and external partners.
• Capacity to build and maintain partnerships with external organisations to enhance program outcomes.
• Ability to lead professional learning aligned with current best practices and research.
• Active contribution to school leadership through participation in staff and leadership meetings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the designated program in the school.
• Supervise teachers engaged in the program throughout the school.
• Induct new teachers within the program (or supervise the induction).
• Monitor program outcomes for students and address areas of concern through interventions.
• Coordinate staff delivering the designated program in line with the school's values and ethos.
• Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure smooth program operation.
• Organise program activities including resources and logistics.
• Keep abreast of best practice in the program area through professional reading and research.
• Contribute to school leadership through meetings and budgeting for the program.
