Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Public Transport Service Planner to join our Planning and Mobility team.

You will shape networks that enhance accessibility and liveability, working at the intersection of transport, land use and community outcomes. You will analyse data, engage with government and stakeholders, identify opportunities to improve frequency and connectivity, and translate complex planning issues into practical recommendations while supporting junior team

Qualifications

Experience in public transport planning with a focus on bus networks and service planning.
Experience working with government clients or transport authorities.
Strong analytical skills to interpret service data, travel patterns and demand.
Ability to translate technical analysis into practical recommendations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; GIS/mapping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities to improve frequency, coverage and connectivity of public transport networks.
Use data and spatial analysis to craft service planning recommendations.
Develop strategies to encourage public transport use.
Support integrated transport and land use planning with growth areas and hubs.
Prepare clear reports, presentations and actionable advice for stakeholders.
Monitor service performance and refine networks over time.
Contribute to public consultation and stakeholder workshops.
