Yass Valley Council is seeking a reliable Transfer Station Operator to join our local government team on a full-time basis at multiple council transfer stations. The role supports safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible operation of the waste transfer facilities.
Responsibilities include maintaining a clean site, assisting customers with disposal and recycling, sorting containers, monitoring for contamination, and recording daily takings.

Salary: $31.15 - $33.65 per hour plus 12% Superannuation
We are seeking a reliable, motivated and customer-focused Transfer Station Operator to join our local government team on a full-time basis.
This is a hands-on role supporting the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operation of our local waste transfer station.
Previous experience in waste management, transfer stations, construction, local government or a similar operational environment will be highly regarded. Relevant licences or tickets, including a skid steer, excavator and HR Licence or above may also be advantageous.
