Job summary

Harmony Australasia's CSA Mine in Cobar, NSW is seeking a skilled Transfer Crusher Operator to coordinate truck fleet unloading at the crusher and to assist in the initial crushing process by operating the rock breaker and loader.

This residential role requires a 7/7 days and nights roster, with a strong emphasis on safety and adherence to mining protocols. You will join a dynamic, internationally active mining group with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Underground mining experience driving a loader (essential).
• Tele-remote experience required.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to safely drive through tight tunnels.
• Efficient bucket control and loading skills.
• Ability to observe hazards and report them promptly.
• Good communication and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage underground trucking fleet to maximise utilisation.
• Ensure truck loads are maximised.
• Roadwork maintenance and housekeeping.
• Identify and manage ore vs waste accurately.
• Follow tele-remote procedures consistently.
• Maintain tram and loading packages.
• Conduct and record equipment prestart and shutdown inspections.

We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Transfer Crusher Operator. As an integral part of the team, you will be responsible for the coordination of truck fleet unloading at the crusher to ensure smooth and efficient production operations. Operation of the rock breaker and loader to assist in the initial crushing processes.

Working on a 7/7 days & nights rotational roster, this position is available on a residential basis only.

Responsibilities

Duties will entail the following, however not limited to:

• Management of the underground trucking fleet to ensure that they are fully utilised
• Ensuring truck loads are maximised
• Roadwork maintenance and housekeeping
• Correctly identify and manage ore and waste
• Strict compliance with tele-remote procedures
• Ensuring tram and loading packages are maintained
• Monitoring, reporting, and conducting thorough equipment prestart and shutdown inspections

To be successful, you will bring the following skills, experience and personal attributes:

• Previous underground mining experience driving a loader (essential).
• Tele-remote experience.
• Current driver's licence and the ability to safely drive through tight tunnels.
• Efficient bucket control and loading skills.
• Driving to ground conditions and observing, reporting hazards.
• Good communication skills and team orientated.
• A strong commitment to safety and adherence to mining protocols.
• Organisational skills with the ability to set and meet daily targets.
