Job summary

BaptistCare NSW & ACT is seeking a part-time Training and Quality Coordinator for the Forster Kularoo Centre. The role focuses on delivering and evaluating clinical and non-clinical education for residents and staff.

You will maintain LMS records, coordinate skills development, and implement delivery methods including e-learning and face-to-face sessions, while supporting audits and continuous quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Certificate III in Aged Care.
• Ability to plan, coordinate and deliver education and training activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate online training records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
• Coordinate employee skills development and ensure training compliance.
• Identify and implement education delivery methods (e-learning and face-to-face).
• Facilitate staff orientation and mandatory training sessions.
• Conduct training needs analyses and build an education calendar.
• Monitor compliance with mandatory education programs.
• Develop individual Learning Plans and assist with skill assessments.
• Promote and coordinate attendance at education programs (WHS training).
• Participate in audits and report education issues to the education and quality supervisor.

About BaptistCare Kularoo Centre, Forster

Set in the picturesque seaside town of Forster, Kularoo Centre is a well-established and valuable part of the local community. Located just around the corner to the nearby shops and amenities, you will enjoy the best of convenience and nature.

Designed in a country homestead style, the well-loved centre provides 160 beds catering for all levels of care, including respite, Ageing in Place, dementia, and palliative care.

Your Role

The Training and Quality Coordinator, plays a crucial role in the provision and evaluation of clinical and non-clinical education and training programs. Your efforts will support the continuous improvement initiatives for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate online training records within our Learning Management System.
• Coordinate employee skills development and ensure compliance with training requirements.
• Identify and implement effective methods of education delivery, including e-learning and face-to-face training.
• Facilitate staff orientation and mandatory education sessions.
• Conduct training needs analyses and develop an education calendar based on findings.
• Monitor compliance with the facility's mandatory education program.
• Develop individual Learning Plans and assist with skills assessments.
• Promote and coordinate attendance at education programs, including WHS training.
• Participate in audits and provide reports on education issues to the education and quality supervisor.

Key Requirements

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Certificate III in Aged Care.

Essential Competencies:

• Understanding of BaptistCare's Christian identity and values.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver education and training activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
• Sound relationship-building and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of WHS and risk management standards.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certificate IV in Aged Care or Endorsed Enrolled Nurse.
• Experience in health, residential aged care, or community aged care.
