Job summary

Clough Projects Pty Ltd in Western Australia seeks an experienced Training Coordinator to manage recruitment-related training for the Project Ceres urea plant. You will develop and implement training plans, run inductions, ensure data integrity, and coordinate internal and external training activities on site.

The role focuses on safety leadership, compliance with HSE systems, and continuous improvement of training processes to support construction milestones and local community benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years relevant experience, preferably in a similar generalist role.
• Demonstrated experience with training management, record keeping and reporting.
• Demonstrated onsite or Project experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safety-focused training plans with project HSE alignment.
• Develop and implement project-specific training plan including learning and development program.
• Maintain training systems and data integrity across project phases.
• Schedule and book internal and external training activities.
• Coordinate Training Needs Analysis with Managers and ensure statutory compliance.
• Verify assessment records, tickets, licences and qualifications.
• Identify VOC requirements and inductions.
• Maintain Training Matrix and databases.
• Vetting external training providers and auditing as required.
• Assist with subcontractor audits and communications.
• Record welding competencies and resolve training-related issues.

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

Clough has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Training Coordinator to join the Project Ceres Team. Responsible for the management of all recruitment activities required for all phases of the Project and ensuring a solid understanding of the projects recruitment needs.

Your focus will include:

• Responsible for delivering a project free from incidents, injuries and environmental harm by providing safety leadership, ensuring compliance with all aspects of the project HSE Management System and participating in the development and delivery of the project Incident and Injury Free program
• Develop and implement project specific training plan including learning and development program
• Develop, implement and maintain training systems, facilitating new starter inductions, site orientations, material and standards, ensuring data integrity for all phases of the Project
• Responsible for scheduling and booking internal and external training activities and events for the project
• Assist department Managers/Superintendents with the development and review of Training Needs Analysis and coordinate training programs to achieve compliance with Statutory and Company/Contract re
• Responsible for the verification of assessment records, tickets, licences and qualifications, ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded and maintained in accordance with Statutory and Company/Contract requirements
• Identify and develop VOC (Verification of Competency) requirements for the project including inductions
• Responsible for maintaining and updating Training Matrix and related databases
• Responsible for the vetting, recommendation, coordination and auditing of suitable external training providers as required
• Participate in the management of subcontractor audits and ongoing communication
• Assist with the identification and recording of required welding competencies for the project
• Identify potential issues and provide resolutions to training related matters

What you will bring to the team

• Highly developed communication skills to motivate, inspire and persuade
• Customer focus through providing timely advice and assistance and proactive to stakeholder needs
• Demonstrated leadership capability
• At least 2+ years relevant experience, preferably in a similar generalist role
• Demonstrated experience with training management, record keeping and reporting
• Demonstrated onsite or Project experience
