Job summary

Clough Ltd. in Western Australia is seeking an experienced HSSE Advisor to join the Project Ceres team on a 19:9 site rotation. You will ensure operations comply with regulations, lead incident investigations, and promote a proactive safety culture.

Reporting to the HSE Lead, you will deliver HSSE training, conduct audits, and collaborate with project teams to mitigate risks while reporting performance data to management.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in an HSSE advisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of national HSSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the HSSE management system.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Deliver HSSE training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors.
  • Monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate HSSE risks.
  • Prepare reports and present HSSE performance data to management.

Clough, as part of a joint venture, is delivering the Project Ceres urea plant, a landmark project for Western Australia. The plant will be the largest in Australia and one of the largest in the world, installing the most sustainable production processes. The project is expected to generate 2,000 jobs during the construction phase, whilst delivering sustained benefits to the local community through career, training and business opportunities.

We are currently searching for an HSE Advisor to join our team on the Project Ceres, on a 19:9 rotation to site. Reporting to the HSE Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring all operations comply with local regulations, industry best practices & internal policies. You’ll further provide expert guidance & promote a proactive safety culture.

  • Strong knowledge of national HSSE regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient in incident investigation and root cause analysis techniques.
