Job summary

Aspire to Succeed is hiring a part-time Trainer and Assessor to deliver CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support. The role includes classroom delivery (2 days per week), assessments, and student support within the aged care and disability sectors.

You will ensure compliant training in line with RTO standards and funding requirements, maintaining accurate records and providing ongoing learner feedback.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills.
  • Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
  • National Police Check.
  • Current driver’s licence and reliable transport (if required).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support.
  • Facilitate engaging face-to-face and/or virtual training sessions.
  • Conduct valid, reliable and compliant assessments.
  • Provide individual learner support and timely feedback.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain training records.
  • Liaise with employers and workplace supervisors during placements.
  • Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Trainer and Assessor – Individual Support to join our team on a part-time (20 hours per week) Skilling Queenslanders for work - funding contract.

About the Role

As a Trainer and Assessor, you will deliver engaging, compliant and student-centred training and assessment for the CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support. You will support students throughout their learning journey, ensuring they develop the practical skills and knowledge required to succeed in the aged care and disability sectors.

This role involves classroom (2 days per week), assessment, student support, workplace liaison and maintaining accurate compliance documentation in accordance with the Standards for RTOs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and assess CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support.
  • Facilitate engaging face-to-face and/or virtual training sessions.
  • Conduct valid, reliable and compliant assessments.
  • Provide individual learner support and timely feedback.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate training records.
  • Liaise with employers and workplace supervisors during practical placement.
  • Participate in assessment validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain vocational competency, industry currency and professional development.
  • Ensure all training delivery complies with the Standards for RTOs, funding requirements and organisational policies.

Essential Requirements
  • TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent as accepted under current Standards).
  • Relevant qualifications in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or Community Services.
  • Current vocational competency and recent industry experience in aged care, disability support or home and community care.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering and assessing nationally recognised training (preferred).
  • Sound understanding of Skills Queensland funding requirements and RTO compliance (desirable).
  • Excellent written, verbal and digital communication skills.
  • Current Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
  • National Police Check.
  • Current driver's licence and reliable transport (if required).
