Job summary

St John Ambulance Queensland is seeking experienced Trainers & Assessors for a fixed-term 12‑month contract, delivering hands-on first aid and CPR training across workplaces, schools, and community settings throughout Queensland. The role focuses on practical, scenario-based sessions that build real confidence in learners.

You will travel to client locations as required, adapt training to different industries, and support learners to gain tangible skills that may save lives.

The Role

This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, working 2 days per week. You'll deliver engaging first aid and CPR training across workplaces, schools, and community settings throughout Queensland.

Your sessions will be practical, interactive, and scenario-based - helping learners build real confidence, not just complete a certificate.

You'll:

• Deliver dynamic, hands-on training sessions
• Create engaging learner experiences
• Assess practical competency and provide feedbackAdapt training to different industries and learning styles

What You'll Bring

• Cert IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent)
• Experience in training, education, emergency response, healthcare, or similar
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Confidence facilitating groups and engaging learners
• A professional, reliable, and positive approach
• Commitment to safety, inclusion, and quality training

You’ll also need:

• Current First Aid & CPR certification
• Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
• Criminal History Check (or ability to obtain)
• Driver's Licence
