Job summary

My Solution Training is a Registered Training Organisation delivering nationally accredited, one-on-one machinery training for mining and civil construction. We train students on real mine-spec equipment— excavators, dump trucks, loaders, rollers, graders, skid steers, and water carts — giving hands-on experience, not simulators.

Based at our Raceview facility, this Trainer/Assessor role delivers practical training and assessments, aligning with RTO/ASQA requirements to help students build

Qualifications

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent.
• Previous experience with an RTO.
• Demonstrated industry experience operating mining/civil construction machinery.
• Knowledge of RII units of competency relevant to the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on, one-on-one training on mining and civil construction machinery.
• Conduct assessments in line with relevant RII units of competency.
• Prepare and maintain training and assessment documentation per RTO/ASQA requirements.
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to students throughout training.
• Ensure all training is delivered safely per WHS policies and site procedures.
• Maintain accurate student records and completion documentation.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment for students.

Job description

As a Trainer/Assessor, you'll deliver practical, one-on-one training and conduct assessments across our machinery course range, working directly with students at our Raceview training facility. You'll combine your real-world industry experience with structured, nationally recognised training delivery to help students build genuine competency and confidence. This role sits within a nationally Registered Training Organisation (RTO 31137), which means your work goes beyond hands-on instruction — you'll be part of a structured, compliance-driven training environment that gives students a genuine, portable qualification recognised right across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on, one‑on‑one training on mining and civil construction machinery (e.g. excavators, dump trucks, front end loaders, rollers, graders, skid steers)
• Conduct assessments in line with relevant RII units of competency
• Prepare and maintain training and assessment documentation in line with RTO and ASQA requirements
• Provide clear, constructive feedback to students throughout their training
• Ensure all training is delivered safely, in line with WHS policies and site procedures
• Maintain accurate student records and completion documentation
• Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment for students who may be new to the industry

About you

• A current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent), or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience working for a Registered Training Organisation (RTO)
• Demonstrated industry experience operating mining and/or civil construction machinery
• Relevant RII units of competency for the equipment you'll be training on
• A genuine passion for teaching and helping others build practical skills
• Strong communication skills and patience working with students at all experience levels
• Current driver's licence (minimum Class C)
• Current Standard 11 (S11) or equivalent mining induction (or willingness to obtain)
