Job summary

Tyre Doctor, a growing Australian tyre and wheel service provider, is seeking a motivated Trainee OTR Tyre Fitter. The role blends workshop learning with on-site experience, helping you develop hands-on tyre fitting skills and safety practices while working with experienced fitters.

This Monday–Friday position offers practical field exposure, training opportunities, and a supportive team environment designed to help you grow your career in the mining, civil and transport sectors.

Qualifications

• 2 years LV Tyre Experience.
• Reliable, hardworking and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• 3 days in the workshop learning tyre fitting, inspections, equipment and safe work practices.
• 2 days on site gaining practical field experience alongside experienced OTR Tyre Fitters.
• Safely remove and fit OTR tyres and assist with field service.

Tyre Doctor is a growing Australian-owned tyre and wheel service provider, supporting the mining, civil and transport industries. We’re looking for a motivated Trainee OTR Tyre Fitter who is ready to learn, work hard and build a career with our team.

No OTR tyre fitting experience? That’s okay. We’re looking for the right attitude, a strong focus on safety and someone who is keen to learn.

What your week will look like

This is a Monday to Friday role, giving you a mix of workshop and on-site experience:

• 3 days in the workshop – learning tyre fitting, inspections, equipment and safe work practices
• 2 days on site – working alongside experienced OTR Tyre Fitters and gaining practical field experience

You’ll learn how to:

• Safely remove and fit OTR tyres
• Inspect tyres and identify damage, wear and potential hazards
• Use tyre fitting tools and equipment safely
• Assist experienced fitters with field service and on-site tyre fitting
• Load, unload and handle tyres and equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop and work area
• Work safely around heavy vehicles and mobile equipment
