Job summary

CREST Education is seeking dedicated individuals to join as CITE Trainee Teacher. Trainee Teachers are employed in the classroom for two days per week during their course, gaining hands‑on experience in a supportive school environment.

Applications are invited from those enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a B.Ed or M.Teach at Eastern College Australia or CHC online.

The CITE Alliance coordinates teaching rounds and tailored professional development to support pre‑service teachers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or planning to enrol in a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Master of Teaching (M.Teach) at Eastern College Australia (ECA) or Christian Heritage College (CHC online).
• Trainee Teachers will be employed in the classroom for two days per week and participate in rounds and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on classroom experience two days per week.
• Participate in teaching rounds and tailored professional development activities coordinated by the CITE Alliance.

In addition to classroom teaching, trainees will participate in teaching rounds and tailored professional development activities coordinated by the CITE Alliance.

Applications are invited from individuals who are currently enrolled in or planning to enrol in: a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Master of Teaching (M.Teach) course at Eastern College Australia (ECA) or Christian Heritage College (CHC - online).

The goals of the Alliance are:

• To provide Christian schools with a supply of Biblically formed graduate teachers.
• To present pre‑service teachers with a model of initial teacher education that is grounded in a Christian worldview.
• To ensure pre‑service teachers are trained in best practice and ready to teach at the end of their studies.
• To contribute to the growth of teaching and learning capacity across the Christian education sector.
